PTA Board Nominations Needed
Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is
a dynamic and integral part of life at
Ben Rush Elementary. From planning fun
monthly activities to funding academic
needs, this group is part of what makes
Ben Rush a GREAT SCHOOL! If you
know of anyone in our school community
with enthusiasm and time to devote to a
leadership role in the PTA, please
consider nominating him or her for
office. And yes, you can even nominate
yourself! Nomination forms and job
descriptions are available
here or on the PTA bulletin board at
school. Nominees will be evaluated by a
committee of Ben Rush parents, and
prospective officers will be voted on by
the PTA membership at the next PTA
General Meeting on Thursday, April 22nd
at 6:45 PM in the school library.

The Science Fair is Coming!
Mark your calendars
for the annual Rush Science Fair
on Thursday, March 11th from
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the school
gym. Complete this
form and return to school by
March 1st. The folks from Mad
Science after-school classes will be
there to entertain the kids....so
feel free to come even if you don't
plan to have a science project on
display.

Passport Check Day is
February 25th....and re-checks in
the library at lunch recess every
Tuesday! February's country list is
available
here.
Passport volunteers
are always needed. We are also
looking for someone to be the
program coordinator for next school
year (see below for more
