Please remind your kids that if they are sick or absent on Check Day, they have a chance to "re-check" any TUESDAY during lunch recess in the library. They should bring their passports from their classrooms.

The list of countries can be found on at
BenRushPTA.org under "clubs & classes",  and Level 5 maps are on the wall across from the school's main office.

Science Fair Volunteer NEEDED

We still need one more parent to help coordinate the school's annual Science Fair in February or March. This is a small commitment with a huge impact! Contact Thereza Howling at thowling2@hotmail.com to volunteer or find out more information.

Mom, I'm Bored

Our community has great resources for after-school programs, weekend classes and holiday activities. Remember, this information no longer comes home with your child. The school district has set up a website listing activities.

Try to get in the habit to check these sites weekly.

Ruby Slipper Guide (great site for what's happening this week on the Eastside)

Local communities also have great resources.  Check them out!

Homemade or Grocery Bakery?  Doesn't Matter!!

We need parents to occasionally bake or buy food for teacher/staff monthly luncheons and other events. If you're interested in helping the PTA (but don't have a lot of free time), this is a great way to pitch in without being at the school.
You choose when and how you want to help. Please email
rosechartrand@ymail.com to join our KP (Kitchen Patrol)!

What a wonderful way to say "thank you" to our teachers and staff.

The next Ben Rush teacher & staff luncheon is December 8th.

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE FOLLOWING PARENTS WHO HELPED DURING PACIFIC SCIENCE CENTER DAY!!!

Steve Hitch, Glenna Johnson, Sara Lalloo, Julie Ellington,
Ida Gulino, Anita Manns, Aarti Katyal, Karina Meik,

DID YOU KNOW A SCHOOL LEVY MAY BE ON THE BALLOT IN FEBRUARY?

It is important for all parents to understand how their child's public education is being funded and how the district allocates those funds. Please take some time to read the superintendent's presentation on the proposed levy and bond issue.

Congratulations to Mrs. Oh's fourth grade class
for reaching 75% PTA membership!

We just need a few more memberships to reach 100% for the whole school.

Click here to find out more about PTA membership and access the form.
