(Think back to your logic class in high school--we're going to be using the AND and OR operators....)
School-district wide events, marked as LWSD, will show up no matter how you set your calendar filter.
One School: Filtering for one school: When you set the filter to RUSH, then ONLY events for Ben Rush will show up on your calendar. That includes all events at Ben Rush and for Ben Rush students.
Specific Groups at One School: Filtering for RUSH and a particular group, such as RUSH ELEMENTARY ORCHESTRA will insert an AND operator.
Only events that are for RUSH AND the RUSH ELEMENTARY ORCHESTRA will be visible on your calendar.
Two (or More) Schools: Filtering for RUSH and another school, such as RHJH (Rose Hill Junior High) will insert an OR operator.
Any event for RUSH OR RHJH will be visible on your calendar.
Specific Groups at Two or More Schools: CAUTION! Here's the catch: If you set the filter for more than one school and a group at each school, the calendar uses both AND and OR operators.
For example, your calendar will display only those events that are for RUSH AND RUSH ELEMENTARY ORCHESTRA OR RHJH AND ROSE HILL JUNIOR HIGH TRACK JV.
The problem, of course, is that there are never any events for the RUSH ELEMENTARY ORCHESTRA AND ROSEHILL JUNIOR HIGH TRACK JV.
This will completely blank-out your calendar; no events will be displayed.
Our suggestions:
If your children attend one school, set the filter for that school and the groups that are of interest to you.
If you want to know everything that is going on at more than one or more schools, set the filters for the schools: RUSH and ROSE HILL JUNIOR
If you want to see only events for specific groups, set the filters for those groups, but DO NOT filter for the schools: RUSH ELEMENTARY ORCHESTRA and ROSE HILL JUNIOR HIGH TRACK JV
If you want to know everything that is going on in the whole district, do not set any filters!
