What are the PTA Fundraising Plans for 2011-2012?
The Rush PTA operating budget for 2011-2012 is $98,000. Some of our programs are break-even (revenue received equal expenses spent), while other programs are supported by the generous donations of our Rush families. This school year, we anticipate that we will need to raise nearly $35,000 from Rush families.
How can I help?
Please participate in one of these easy fundraising programs. All net proceeds go back to the Ben Rush PTA.
$mart $hopper: Help Ben Rush by doing the things you do anyway, like shopping, dining out, and buying party supplies.
iCard Mall: Help Ben Rush by buying gift cards from this on-line vendor. 2% of your total purchase goes back to the school.
How does the PTA allocate its financial resources?
The Ben Rush PTA supports activities not funded by state and district budgets. Over the past few years, we have underwritten the following: Science Fair • Art Docents • Geography Program • Nature Vision • Young Author’s Day • Field Trip Transportation • Physical Education Equipment • School Assemblies • Emergency Preparedness • Teacher Classroom Supplies • Staff Appreciation • Ice Cream Socials • Family Fun Nights (Skate King, Pottery Night, Bingo Night and Sock Hop) • Student Scholarships • Peace Coaches • Math Enrichment • Safety Patrol Supplies • Running Club • Technology Club • School Directory • Musical Instruments • Electronic PTA Newsletters
