(The Lake Washington School District requires that every volunteer be screened and cleared by the Washington Sate Patrol.  The Lake Washington School District Volunteer Application includes a State Patrol background check.  This is the same form and process used by Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Little League, etc.  Each organization requires that the forms be submitted directly to that organization.  This means that even if you are cleared by another youth organization, you  must submit clearance forms to the Lake Washington School District.  Volunteer clearances are good for two years, and then you must reapply.)
